About

Three years after the genesis of the Black Alumni Collective during the summer of 2020, the St. Andrew's community has continually entrusted us with the responsibility to make a difference in the lives of Black students and alumni. The establishment of the BAC FAMily Fundraiser centers around the Collective’s three tenets of fellowship, advocacy, and mentorship (FAM).

This year, we endeavor to continue to lift the voices of our Black students and alumni and amplify our impact for years to come by ensuring the BAC is an institutional pillar of St. Andrew’s experience. Join us in amplifying the great work we’ve already carried out due to your support.

SAES Black Alumni Collective

Devonte Sanders ‘23, headed off to Syracuse University this fall, shares the impact the BAC has had on him since it’s founding:

“A special relationship that I have with the members of the St. Andrews Community came from the Black Alumni Collective who accepted me as a mentoree and intern during my junior year.

The Black Alumni collective allowed me to use innovative and creative ideas during HackBAC to approach social issues related to how Black people are able to access healthcare. Not only did I get a chance to collaborate with many other Black students from my school, but I have found a group of people from my community who will be a great resource for my journey as well as people who I can call family for the rest of my life!”

Today is our 4th BAC FAMily Fundraiser— let’s lift our community’s voices and amplify our impact together! ✊🏾
